These terms govern your use of the Manor OS iPhone app (the “App”), published by Manor OS (“we”, “us”). By downloading or using the App, you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

The App

Manor OS helps you estimate your home’s energy performance. It uses your iPhone’s camera and LiDAR sensor, equipment and bill information, and published energy standards and benchmarks to produce grades, estimates, and suggested upgrades. The App is free to download and use.

Estimates only, not professional advice

Results are informational estimates and may not reflect your home’s actual performance. Measurements, text recognition, energy figures, savings, payback periods, incentives, and costs can be inaccurate or out of date. Manor OS is not a substitute for a certified energy audit, professional engineering, HVAC sizing, contractor bids, or tax, legal, or financial advice. Consult qualified professionals before you make purchasing, installation, or renovation decisions, and confirm any tax credit or rebate with the program administrator or a tax professional.

Your content

The information and photos you enter belong to you and are stored on your device. We do not receive them. You are responsible for the accuracy of what you enter and for the reports you choose to share. See our Privacy Policy for how data is handled.

Acceptable use

Use the App only for lawful purposes and only in places you have the right to scan and photograph. Do not attempt to copy, reverse engineer, or interfere with the App, or use it in a way that could harm yourself or others. Pay attention to your surroundings when scanning rooms with your iPhone.

Ownership

The App, including its software, design, name, and branding, is owned by Manor OS and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. We grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the App on Apple devices you own or control, subject to the Apple Media Services Terms and the usage rules in them.

No warranty

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the App is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Manor OS and its owners and contributors are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss arising from your use of or reliance on the App or its estimates. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.

Apple

These terms are between you and Manor OS, not Apple. Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the App, and is not responsible for any claims relating to it. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you.

Changes

We may update these terms from time to time. The updated version will be posted on this page with a new effective date. Continued use of the App after a change means you accept the updated terms.
